When I was pregnant, I knew that breastfeeding was the most appropriate way to feed my baby. However, I felt uncomfortable with the idea of breastfeeding, and I set a one month goal for my baby and me. My baby is now six months old, and he has never had formula. I could not imagine when I was pregnant how beautiful an experience breastfeeding could be! My son is thriving and happy and healthy, and he and I are very in sync.

When I was pregnant, I read how fair skinned women often had problems with nipple soreness and bleeding. I am the fairest skinned person I know and I never had bleeding nipples even once.

I strongly urge any women who felt like I did (uncomfortable with breastfeeding) to give it a GOOD TRY. Breastfeeding is best for you and baby!
