I'M A LUCKY BREASTFED BABY !

My mommy started breastfeeding me as soon as I was born. It took me a long time to enter the world and I was so happy to have a little snack waiting for me. I was sad that I had to go to NICU for a few days after I was born, but my Mommy and Daddy stayed with me all the time. My mommy went home from the hospital before I did . I did not like this very much because the nurses wanted to feed me some smelly ,thick ,gooey stuff they called formula...well I did not like it. My mommy doesn't give me any formula or any of the funny containers called bottles. I like my nonnies sitting on my mommies lap.

My mommy said that her milk is custom made just for me and I don't need any thing else. I didn't want to eat food until I was 9 months old.

Because I like to breastfeed I'm helping my mommy reduce her chance of getting a bad thing called breast cancer. I'm glad I can help my mommy.

I have lots of friends who breastfeed too. We get to meet 2x's a month and play at my friends house or go to the park .It's nice to have friends just like me! My mommy said it is called La Leche League.

People say that I will be a smarter person because I breastfeed ...well I think my Mommy is smart for letting me breastfeed until I outgrow the need. I'm a lucky breastfed baby.
