The Nursing Baby - Your Breastfeeding Stories

I have an 11 month old named Bridget Colleen. We have been nursing since the moment she was born. Her choice, not mine. Bridget is our sixth child and our first to be breast fed. It has been a wonderful experience for us all. I have bonded with her in a way I never could with the others. I will always regret I did not try harder in breast feeding them. The first 2 weeks are never easy, but in the end it is well worth it. Why,was she the only one breastfeed you may ask? Because she never took to the bottle...just flat out refused it. She made the decision, I just followed her lead. Iam so glad I did. When will we wean?I am not sure. I never thought I would still be doing this, but here I am, 11 months later, still going strong. Iam sure she will wean by the time she is ready for school.LOL My advice? Follow your heart moms and dad's and find what is best for your baby. You will do fine.
