Breastfeeding - The AAP's New Guidelines.

The American Academy has just issued a new policy statement on breastfeeding recommendations. Though The Nursing Baby feels these recommendations are too weak (see the WHO's guidelines for stronger statemenst), these recommendations are a wonderful step in the right direction. Note that solids introduction has been pushed from 4-6 months to a full 6 months, and breastfeeding is recommended for a full year and beyond instead of 6-12 months.
